Weekly Blog Post: Words of Wisdom Wednesday

Roll of Thunder, Hear My Cry by Mildred D Taylor has always been a favorite of mine. I used to have it almost memorized! I always read books about oppression or racism or discrimination and I believe that has helped me be more open-minded. Books have a powerful way of changing you and opening your eyes.

If you haven't read Taylor's books, they are must reads. I really hope to encourage more of my students next year to read them.

Anyway, here is one of my favorite quotes.
