Mini Review: Scarlet's Magic Paintbrush by Melissa Stoller and Illustrated by Sandie Sonke
"They weren't perfect, but they were hers."
This picture book written by Melissa Stoller and illustrated by Sandie Sonke is a definite five star read. The illustrations by Sonke are magical and lovely. They are simple, yet detailed and I love the colors used. The writing is also magical and is a great book to show everyone, not just kids, that you can do amazing things. You don't need anything fancy-no fancy notebook or computer-you just need your imagination and perseverance and you can do anything. What you make may not be perfect, but they will be 100% yours and loving yourself and what you can make is what it is all about.
If this sounds like a book for you, you can purchase on Indie Bound. If you have read it, I would love to hear your thoughts.
