March 2022 Wrap Up
What a wonderful month of reading! I enjoyed each book I picked up and I am so glad I am out of my reading slump. For the most part, I choose my books over my phone and tv! How are you doing with reading? It's been a rough couple years with reading but I am so glad things are getting easier. I am really into dark fantasy, horror, suspense, and young adult books. Also, graphic novels have come back to my reading life!
Here is a video of the books I've read and then below that, my short reviews and links to Goodreads! I would love to hear what you think if you've read any of these books.
Happy Reading!

Thank you Libro for choosing this book for educators! It was a great audiobook with a fantastic narrator. I was engaged right from the beginning and the portrayal of the ICE facility is heartbreaking and will open readers' eyes to the experiences of immigrants from Mexico and South America.

What a quick, powerful book about family, setting things right, and history. I loved the titles of the chapters and how everything was so connected to softball, yet also about life and racism. Must Read! Also...audiobook is narrated by the author so I highly recommend that version.

Children of Virtue and Vengeance by Tomi Adeyemi
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
Tomi Adeyemi is a brilliant world builder and I love her characters. This was a great sequel to her first book, Children of Blood and Bone, and I need the third NOW. It does have mature content and violence, but I think junior high age is appropriate.

I am so thankful for my friends who recommended this book! If you like dystopian, you will love this book. It has strong females, a great mystery, sci-fi elements, and friendships. It does have some violence and mature topics mentioned, so I would recommend this for older kids, maybe 8th grade and up. I want to read the next book!
