She Was the First was an eye opener for me. I honestly was not aware of Shirley Chisholm and I feel awful for this, but am glad I am aware now. Learning how strong Shirley was, how she grew and found her passion as a legislator, and then how she campaigned to be the next US President was powerful. I loved how Katheryn and Eric shared her story in a format that will reach audiences of all ages. It’s time to spread Shirley’s story.
