Who is this middle grade author?
1 Though I was born in the Philippines, I spent my childhood hopping back and forth between Manila (Philippines), Barcelona (Spain), and New York City/Long Island (US).
2 For the past eleven years, I’ve been involved with animal welfare causes in the Philippines. I even have a mini-sanctuary at home with 25 rescued cats and 3 rescued dogs.
3 In my free time, I enjoy baking sourdough bread—an ancient method of fermentation using wild yeast to leaven bread. On average, from start to finish, a loaf can take 24-48 hours to make.

5 Writing krytonite is... Distraction! Sometimes, it’s so hard to just sit down and focus on my writing. To combat this, I tend to do 30-minute sprints and then reward myself with a break.
