Book Tag: A-Z Bookish Survey
I saw this book tag on Heather's Reading Hideaway and decided it would be a great first post for my new weekly blog post, Tag It Thursday.
If you create your own, please comment! I would love to read!
A to Z Bookish Survey
Author you've read the most books from: JK Rowling with the Harry Potter series.
Best sequel ever: Catching Fire by Suzanne Collins (sequal to Hunger Games)
Currently reading: Cinder by Marissa Meyer
Drink of choice while reading: Mandarin Orange Tea or Chair Tea
E-reader of physical books: I love my Kindle e-reader because it's so much easier to have all of my books on hand and I can take notes. It all comes down to convenience.
Fictional character you love: I love Neville Longbottom! He's the character I loved watching grow throughout the series and I love his heart.
Glad you gave this book a chance: The Hobbit. I wanted to quit, I just could not get hooked, but I kept at it and I ended up loving it.
Hidden gem book: The series The Secrets of the Immortal Nicholas Flamel.
Important moment in your reading life: There are two. One is when my me-me (grandmother) took me to the library all summer. Two is when I bought the first Harry Potter book. I can still picture the book store in Michigan where I got it.
Just finished: The Miraculous Journey of Edward Tulane by Kate DiCamillo
Kind of books you won't read: None. I will read anything and try any kind of book once.
Longest book you've read: Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix.
Major book sadness because of...the tough choices in Pax by Sara Pennypacker. It tore my heart out following the characters and the choices they had to make.
Number of bookcases you own: Three (two for me and one for my daughter) I wish I had a room full though!
One book you've read multiple times: Harry Potter series
Preferred place to read: outside.
Quote that inspires you or gives you all the feels: “It takes a great deal of bravery to stand up to our enemies, but just as much to stand up to our friends.” -Albus Dumbledore
Reading regret: not quitting books I don't like. I have a hard time quitting books, but sometimes wish I had because I feel like I wasted my time. It does not happen often that I want to quit a book though.
Series you started and need to finish: Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children
Three of your all time favorite books: Counting By 7s by Holly Goldberg Sloan, Harry Potter series by JK Rowling, and Hunger Games series by Suzanne Collins.
Unapologetic fan girl for Harry Potter.
Very excited for this release: The illustrated edition of Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban.
Worst bookish habit: Matching my feelings and moods to the book I am reading. I am usually feeling very anxious or sad while reading. I also get quite moody when I have to stop reading.
X marks the spot: Start at the top of your bookshelf and pick the 27th book: Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone Illustrated Edition
Your latest book purchase: Eragon by Christopher Paolini
Zzz last book that kept you up way too late: Pax by Sara Pennypacker
