What does this proverb mean to me?

This one is tough for me to express what I think it means. I'll give it my best shot. I believe it means to be good and true and one day, happiness will come.

Many things are needed to keep a tree alive: water, nutrients, and sunlight are most important. The tree is in your heart, and I believe this represents your soul. By feeding your soul goodness-positivity, kindness, helpfulness-you will attract a singing bird, or your happiness. You will find happiness and peace if you keep your soul healthy.
